You need to take some time to take care of your needs. 

We have 24 hours and we need to divide the time into three:  work, rest and sleep.

The reality is that we use about 12 hours for work and very little for rest and sleep.

If we continue to abuse of the lack of "taking care of your needs", the consequences will be of stress.

Stress is the body’s reaction to any physical, physiological or psychological demand.

Produces at times positive and negative tension and pressure

It is a state of strong physical or psychological tension .

It is not a bad thing to have stress, because it is helpful at times to get the job done.

It is not the direct cause of our health problems, but it frequently contributes to the development of some of our health problems.

Stages of Stress

Alarm- “Fight of Flight” response. “Houston we have a Problem. Warning of the presence of a stress agent.

Resistance -  When the stress has moved more than just the alarm.  The person fights the stress,  Suffers and gets frustrated.

Exhaustion- Characterized with fatigue, anxiety and depression which may appear separate or simultaneously (BURN-OUT).

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Tips for Stress Management

-Nutriiton-Select the right food choices like fruits and vegetables.

-Exercise - recommended about 20 minutes three times a week.  Always warm-up beforre the exercises. 

-Get a Body Massage- relaxes muscles spasms.

-Listen to soothing music such as the ocean waves, wind blowing, birds.

-Get profesional help if you 

  need it (Counseling)
